Tranquility by Inkblot has been ranked a cut above competitors for its usability and program model that encourages you to stay on-track through regular in-app reminders or coaching.
As a GSC customer, Tranquility by Inkblot is available to you at preferred rates and eligible for coverage under the Psychology benefit of your plan.
What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) introduces concepts and proprietary tools to help people identify unhelpful or negative perceptions and avoidance behaviors, and develop positive coping strategies so they can address, manage and overcome anxiety and/or depression.
How does Tranquility by Inkblot work?
The Tranquility by Inkblot program was co-developed by clinical psychologies and people who have lived and experienced mental health challenges. There are three main elements:
Nine to twelve educational modules
Four interactive tools
Optional access to coaching support
Most people can complete the full program in 12 weeks (program access is available for up to 26 weeks).
The Client Experience
Is internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) effective?
Yes. Numerous studies have been conducted throughout the years to show that guided iCBT is effective in treating anxiety and depression.1 Health Quality Ontario published a study on Internet-Delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Major Depression and Anxiety Disorders. The study found that guided iCBT represents a highly beneficial option for the short-term treatment of adults with mild to moderate depression or anxiety disorders.2
What are the iCBT program options?
There are two program options so you can choose the one that best suits you (and your budget).
The Self-Guided program includes the educational models that will teach you strategies for improving mental health and the interactive tools so you can practice the skills you’ve learned. The cost? $75 (plus applicable taxes).
The Coach-Assisted program includes the educational models and interactive tools of the Self-Guided program, plus access to a coach who will help support you through in-app messaging and weekly 30-minute virtual video or phone sessions. And the cost? $325 (plus applicable taxes).
Tranquility by Inkblot is GSC’s preferred iCBT provider. You can rest assured that these rates reflect preferred pricing for you as a GSC customer. Better still, Tranquility payments are eligible for coverage under the Psychology benefit of your health plan.
